Dean E. Dawson is the senior consultant at Real Property Consultants, with over 32 years experience in the appraisal and valuation of real property. His experience encompasses a broad range of property types, including single-family residential, condominiums, apartments, office, retail, industrial, special-purpose properties and vacant land. Dean also has experience with easement valuation, eminent domain, leased fee and leasehold interests, market research, and appraisal review.
Mr. Dawson's primary focus over the past 10-15 years has been real estate damage economics and property value diminution. He has been qualified as an expert in local, state and federal courts and has provided testimony on the wide venue of issues including:

Mr. Dawson's valuation experience encompasses, among other areas, vacant land (residential and commercial), farm, low and mid-rise office buildings, industrial buildings, apartments and multi-family projects, restaurants, self storage facilities, day care facilities, medical office buildings, retail buildings, right of way and easement takings, residential subdivisions, ground leases (billboards), condemnation, churches, condominiums (residential and office), convenience store, partial and undivided interest, car wash facility, gymnasiums, special purpose properties, complex residential, and compliance reviews.
Mr. Dawson is currently the chair of the West Virginia Real Estate Licensing and Certification Board. He is also a former past president of the West Virginia Association of REALTORS®.
